HAVE YOU FELT LIKE A LONESOME WOLF THIS YEAR SOMETIMES?

Some days seem ordinary. But then something happens, and it changes everything. A week ago, it was a day like this. We are driving down a road in North Sweden, sometimes passing a village, but mostly we are just advancing through the giant northern forests. Samuel is driving. I’m the passenger. That’s when I see him. Just for a brief moment.

Welcome to another episode with me Anna Jelen.

Living the year 2020 – you might feel like this lonesome wolf. Usually, we are surrounded by our wolf pack – but this year everything was different, and we might have become more like the wolf I saw, battling all alone for himself.

A little outtake:

“My dear listener; what is it that you have today? The one thing you have for sure? It’s simple: it’s you. You have yourself. Are you aware which chance and opportunity you have, for one time, to focus entirely on yourself! How about taking care of you? How about building a solid base? It’s the perfect moment to work on your internal environment. The one, that will always be with you and which is your insurance on how you will react to future happenings. Buddha said: Every man and woman is the architect of their own healing and their own destiny.“

WHO'S THE CAPTAIN OF YOUR LIFE?

The storm isn’t over yet, but I’m not afraid. Because I trust the captain. And the captain, that’s me.

Let me take you to the sea and let’s check your boat if you are ready to enter some storms.

Because it’s like life. And this year, I believe the ones who are stable within had an easier year than the others. My question is, my dear listener, what do you do, to be stable within? And are you ready for all the weathers? And never think that you are out there all by yourself – oh no! We are all in this together! And if you do capsize, do not worry, someone will catch you. You might not see them, but there are captains everywhere cruising next to you.

Perhaps even our routes will cross one day.

A little outtake:

“But there are different ways on how to encounter a storm on the open sea. Imagine, you are sitting in a little wooden rowing boat heading out to the deep water. The weather is fine, and you feel all secure. But as in life, the weather can change. Fast. You hear how the wind is sneaking up on you. Wind gusts hit your little boat. You lose balance. You stagger, but you don’t fall. Your heartbeat raises. You look at the horizon, it’s getting dark, and the storm arrives, and you are sitting in your little rowing boat, freezing and shivering in pure anxiety because you realize, that you have no idea what to do and: you have the wrong boat. How do you think, will this end?

That’s when I understand one thing: you can’t go out there if you can’t trust yourself. You can’t go out there if you can’t handle a storm.“

IF YOU FAIL - FALL FORWARD

Failure will always bring you closer to yourself and to your next goal I was only 16, almost 17 years young when I participated at my second Swiss Telemark Championship and I will never forget that day. The story I am about to tell you is about failure and shame. Until today, I still handle failure the same way as I did as a teenager and I think that is a good thing. Listen and find out why.

A little outtake: “I am 16 when I participate at my first Swiss Telemark Championship. I am nervous, like hell. But I get down. And in the evening I write into my diary: many people don’t do Telemark because they are ashamed to do it. Because it looks different and others might laugh. But it’s a shame to think like this. Like this, you will never learn something new.“

But now, find out what happened at the second Swiss Telemark Championship.

Take care my dear listener.

Yours, AnnA
